American School Counselor Association (ASCA)
A national organization that represents the profession of school counseling, ASCA focuses on providing professional development, enhancing school counseling programs, and researching effective school counseling practices.
 
American Counseling Association (ACA)
A not-for-profit professional and educational organization dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession.
 
National Career Development Association (NCDA)
The organization for career development providers and a division of the American Counseling Association.
 
Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE)
A professional organization of 38,000 teachers, counselors, school administrators, teacher educators, and business/industry partners.
 
National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC)
An education association of secondary school counselors, college and university admission officers, and counselors who work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education.

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
NCES provides a website for K-12 educators—the K-12 Practitioners Circle. The site highlights issues of concern and current research and statistics for teachers, administrators, school board members, and parents.

An online database of job descriptions from the U.S. Department of Labor.
 
BLS Career Information
