Advisory to Editors, Correspondents, Broadcasters:

The Federal Election Commission has a limited number of copies available of the new publication Federal Elections 2000, the historical record of federal election results from last year.

This publication, the 10th edition in a biennial series, contains the official primary, runoff, and general election results for the 2000 U.S. Presidential and Congressional elections.  Data therein are based on official figures provided by state election officials, and include results amended through June 2001.

The largest edition in the Federal Elections series to date, this volume features a new Appendix to provide comparative statistics for previous Presidential general elections.  Also new is a chart showing the general election votes cast for all federal races by party.  As in past editions, maps and charts are included to illustrate and summarize the current election results.

Copies may be obtained free of charge from the FEC’s Public Records Office (202-694-1120).  The publication is also available in the “Elections and Voting” section of the FEC website, www.fec.gov.
