NOTE: At the launch pad, ordnance installation is complete and testing of the pyrotechnic initiator controllers is underway. Work to close-out Columbia's aft compartment will pick-up today and continue through Friday. Installation of the fabricated "pyro can" assemblies at the orbiter's external tank attach points continues. Launch countdown preparations also continue with hypergolic propellant pressurization in work today.
STS-94 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE: Potable water servicing is complete and a 24-hour decay check is in work. Tile replacement work continues on Discovery's forward reaction control system. Close-outs of Discovery's aft compartment continue through Thursday and preparations are underway for payload bay door closure planned for tonight. In the Vehicle Assembly Building, ordnance installation on the solid rocket booster holddown posts is in work.
STS-85 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE: Functional testing of the external tank umbilical doors is in work. Testing of the power reactant storage and distribution system continues as well. Fabrication of the replacement tiles for Atlantis' forward reaction control system is in work and installation will begin next week. Window polishing continues through Friday.
NOTE: Servicing of Endeavour's freon coolant loop No. 2 is underway and continues through Sunday. Radiator functional tests are in work this week. Weight saving modifications of the left and right hand elevon coves, where the back of the orbiter's wings meet the aft fuselage, are in work until Monday. Engineers are evaluating leak check data from a 17-inch disconnect on the umbilical assembly that joins the external tank to the orbiter.
