YVO Contact List
YVO operations are based from existing facilities at the University of Utah, Yellowstone National Park, and the USGS. The observatory is modeled after the other USGS volcano observatories in Alaska, California, the Pacific Northwest, and Hawai`i. The observatories employ a variety of ground-based instruments and satellite data to monitor active and restless volcanoes and conduct a variety of studies to understand their eruptive and seismic histories and potential hazards.
