Adults Learning Mathematics Conference
The fifteenth annual conference of Adults Learning Mathematics - A
Research
Forum (ALM), A Declaration of Numeracy: Empowering Adults through
Mathematics Education, will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from
June

brings
together those engaged and interested in research and developments in
the

who
share their interest in adult mathematics education. Information about
the
2008 conference can be found on the ALM website www.alm-online.net. The
conference organizer is Kathy Safford, ksafford at spc.edu.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS ALM-15
Researchers and practitioners in the fields of adult numeracy and
mathematics education and related disciplines are invited to submit
proposals for contributions to this international conference.
The organisers particularly welcome contributions from members and
non-members that help us to:
* share good practice in adult mathematics teaching and learning,
* take stock of our area/discipline as an evolving area of study and
research,
* assess the nature and value of the combined contribution for adults
mathematics education/numeracy, and
* chart future directions for development and research.
Please submit abstracts of proposals for papers by 31 March 2008.
