Ms. Renee Macklin is the Chief Information Officer for International Trade Administration within the Department of Commerce. Ms. Macklin has managed several application development organizations and data operation centers whose mission have been the delivery of telecommunication products and services to Fortune 500 businesses globally. Her positions spanned most areas of IT management including IT Operations, IT Security, IT Architecture, Web and Application development, IT Policy, Planning, Budget, and Resource Management. She has led a wide variety of IT projects including consolidation of application software into a single integrated environment, developing IT standards, implementation of a frame relay network and LAN, establishing a Desktop Support Team, implementation of a ERP/CRM, transition from mainframe environment to a distributed environment, and implementation of E-business on the Web. Renee has received numerous awards and commendations from the private sector.
