SUBJECT: Delegation of Authority to the Fiscal Assistant Secretary to Issue Regulations Governing the Purchase, Redemption, and Refunding of Outstanding Obligations

By virtue of the authority vested in me as the Secretary of the Treasury by 31 U.S.C. 321(b), I hereby delegate to the Fiscal Assistant Secretary the authority of the Secretary under 31 U.S.C. 3111 to issue regulations setting the terms by which money received from the sale of an obligation and other money in the general fund of the Treasury may be used to purchase, redeem or refund outstanding obligations.

This delegation may be exercised by the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fiscal Operations and Policy in the absence of the Fiscal Assistant Secretary.
