TREASURY ORDER 102-16

SUBJECT:  Delegation of Authority to the Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer to Accept Gifts and Bequests to the Department of the Treasury

 

1.   DELEGATION.  By virtue of the authority vested in the Secretary of the Treasury by 31 USC 321(b), I hereby delegate all authority granted to the Secretary under

      31 USC 321(d) to the Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer to accept, hold, administer and use gifts and bequests of property, both real and personal, for the purpose of aiding or facilitating the work of the Department of the Treasury.  Gifts and bequests of money and proceeds from sales of other property received as gifts and bequests shall be deposited in the Treasury in a separate fund and shall be disbursed on order of the Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer.

2.   REDELEGATION.  The Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer may redelegate or assign any authority delegated by this Order.

3.   CANCELLATION.  Treasury Order 101-16, "Delegation of Authority to the Assistant Secretary (Management) to Accept Gifts and Bequests to the Department of the Treasury,” dated September 28, 1994 and reaffirmed March 24, 2000, is superseded.

4.   OFFICE OF PRIMARY INTEREST.  Office of the Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Departmental Offices Operations.
