SUBJECT: Claim for Damage to or Loss of Personal Property

By virtue of the authority vested in me by Reorganization Plan No. 26 of 1950, there is hereby delegated to the head of each bureau, office, service, and division, the authority under the Military Personnel and Civilian Employees' Claim Act of 1964, as amended, to settle and pay claims made by a civilian officer or employee of the Treasury Department, for damage to or loss of personal property incident to his service.

The authority herein delegated to the head of each bureau, office, service, and division, may be redelegated by him to any subordinate officer or employee. The determinations made by the head of a bureau or his designee shall be final and conclusive.

The payment of claims pursuant to this delegation shall be in accordance with regulations issued by the Assistant Secretary for Administration.
