Nees an EIN?

An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is a nine-digit number that IRS assigns to identify your business. EINs are granted to employers, sole proprietors, corporations, partnerships, non-profit associations, trusts, estates of decedents, government agencies, individuals, and other business entities. To file for your exports on the AES, we recommend you use an EIN in lieu of a Social Security Number (SSN) to protect your privacy rights. However, please make note that this number is to be used for your business activities only.

If you do not have an EIN, you can easily request one from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). You have the options of applying for this number online, by fax, mail, or by calling a toll-free number. For more information, access the IRS webpage.
