For those Affected by Hurricane Katrina
If the area in which you live was affected by Hurricane Katrina and you would like to redeem your paper bonds, contact a local bank in the area where you currently reside. If they're unable to help you, please contact your servicing Treasury Retail Securities Site.
Savings bonds missing or destroyed as a result of Hurricane Katrina will be replaced by the Bureau of the Public Debt. Bond owners should include the word "DISASTER" on the front of envelopes containing claim forms.
