TVA To Host Career Fair in Chattanooga February 24

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — TVA will host a Career Fair in Chattanooga to highlight job opportunities in engineering, power plant operations, environmental science, business-related positions and other fields.

The Career Fair will be from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1150 Carter St. TVA representatives will collect resumes, conduct some interviews and provide information on available jobs and TVA’s benefits program.

The University of Tennessee - Chattanooga, Cleveland State Community College and other two- and four-year schools also will have exhibits at the Career Fair to highlight educational resources for career development.

“We encourage new and recent graduates in engineering, business and finance, experienced crafts people and professionals to come to the Career Fair and learn more about TVA and the opportunities we have at locations throughout the Tennessee Valley,” said TVA Shared Resources Senior Manager Susan Stout.

TVA is the nation’s largest public power provider and is completely self-financing. TVA provides power to large industries and 158 power distributors that serve approximately 9 million consumers in seven southeastern states. TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
