Aquatic Weed Control Schedule

TVA began aquatic weed herbicide treatments in public, private and commercial areas on Monday, June 1. TVA is planning two herbicide applications each on Guntersville and Nickajack Reservoirs along the shorelines during the June and July timeframe and will use mechanical equipment to cut weeds in boating lanes. TVA will provide the same services as-needed in public use areas through September.

TVA will offer services for the application of herbicides in private and commercial shoreline areas at cost between August 1 and September 30, 2009. For additional information on contracting with TVA for this service call TVA’s Environmental Information Center at (800) 882-5263.

Town Creek (Marshall County) – Guntersville State Park cabins, ramps, swim area, campground

Mink Creek – Mink Creek public ramp

North Sauty Creek – Camp Maranatha
