Pribilof Islands Video Production

Videography on the Pribilof Islands, Alaska

The Pribilof Project Office's Electronic Media Production Center, and subsequently the NOAA Ocean Media Center, has created a variety of videos illustrating the Pribilof Islands and NOAA's role there.  Documenting contaminated site cleanup with video has been a successful method for sharing information and progress with Restoration Advisory Board members, interested public, and other government agencies.  Historical recreations of vessels and buildings, as well as recreations of terrain and habitats based on Geographic Information System data are incorporated into videos for visual effect.  Video subjects include the culture, history, and natural resources of the Pribilof Islands, the history of government involvement on the Pribilof Islands, and the environmental remediation and restoration performed by NOAA.
