Last Chance to Submit Nominations for the Ramstad-Kennedy Annual Award
The Recovery Month Planning Partners have called for nominations for the second annual Ramstad-Kennedy Award for Outstanding Leadership by a Single State Authority Leader. The 2009 Award will be presented during the June 4-7, 2009 NASADAD annual meeting in Syracuse, NY. Michael Botticelli, Director of the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, won last year's award. Nominations due March 31, 2009. Please pass on this information.
Announcing April 1st Road to Recovery Webcast, Treatment 101: Recovery Today
Join host, Ivette Torres, Associate Director for Consumer Affairs, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), as the Road to Recovery April Webcast examine the current state of addiction treatment and recent advancements in the field, considers barriers to treatment and how to overcome them, and discusses strategies for making addiction treatment more accessible by establishing public health framework-based addiction treatment services for both the person suffering from the disease and members of the person's family.

Please place the banner on your Web site to link to http://www.recoverymonth.gov/ and bookmark the site on computers in your organization, school, or library to help us reach more people. If you had the previous year's Recovery Month banner on your site, please update the banner with the 20th Anniversary banners provided.
