E-mail, the World Wide Web, e-commerce, file sharing, telecommuting, streaming media and Voice over IP (VoIP) are now part of our daily work and home lives. The FTC works for a competitive marketplace, protecting healthy competition so that this technological progress can continue at an affordable price. As part of its program, the FTC enforces laws against individuals or companies that try to stifle competition. This Web site offers information for consumers, companies, attorneys, and legislators on the FTC's recent initiatives to encourage competition as it relates to E-Commerce.
