SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE $253,734 GRANT FOR MAINE MANUFACTURING EXTENSION PARTNERSHIP

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senators Olympia J. Snowe and Susan Collins (R-Maine) today announced that the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership will receive $253,734 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce to fund programs that support Maine manufacturers. The funding is being distributed to Maine through the Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards & Technology.
“The Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership is an outstanding resource that has a longstanding record of providing vital assistance to help our manufacturers succeed,” said Snowe and Collins in a joint statement. “This funding will enable Maine MEP to continue to provide valuable expertise and services that are essential to enhancing the competitiveness of our manufacturers in today’s global market.”
The Maine MEP is part of a nationwide network of technical, manufacturing and business specialists linked together by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Institute of Standards & Technology. Maine MEP provides comprehensive manufacturing and business services and expertise focusing on growth, productivity, and efficiency.
