National Archives in the Central Plains
Kansas City, Missouri
The National Archives' Central Plains Region has its headquarters in Kansas City. Our diverse records are of general historical interest and genealogical, and researchers will find both a microfilm and archival research room. Our archival holdings include retired records from Federal agencies and courts in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
The Kansas City facility also serves as a Records Center, storing records from over 90 Federal agencies, available for agency retrieval as needed. Our Records Management staff provides assistance to Federal Government agencies.
Lee's Summit, Missouri
The Lee's Summit facility serves as a Records Center; it stores and services records from Federal agencies in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as from most Department of Veterans Affairs offices nationwide.
The facility also stores and services active OPFs from the IRS. Records are available for agency retrieval as needed. Our Records Management staff is available to provide assistance to Federal Government agencies.
Lenexa, Kansas
The Lenexa facility serves as a Records Center; it stores and services records from Federal agencies in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Federal agencies include Department of Veterans Affairs and the Internal Revenue Service. Records are available for agency retrieval as needed.
