The economic burden of personality disorders in mental health care.

This study examines the direct and indirect costs for individuals seeking mental health treatment for personality disorder in the Netherlands.  The findings indicate that patients who seek treatment for personality disorder are disproportionately more costly to society the patients with other types of mental health conditions.
