Sample Coverage and Dataset Characteristics: The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Data Archive (SAMHDA) is an initiative of the Office of Applied Studies, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, and is based at the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). SAMHDA holdings consist mainly of data derived from surveys and administrative records. The SAMHDA data holdings contain over 120 studies and 425 downloadable data files.
Key Variables: Annual data on drug use, health, mental health, treatment admissions, treatment facility services and characteristics, and drug use among youth.
