Mental health/substance abuse treatment in managed care: The Massachusetts Medicaid experience.

This article presents an analysis of the Massachusetts’ Medicaid managed care program including its effect on expenditures, access, and quality of care.  The study observed a 22 percent reduction in expenditures over predicted non-managed care levels.
