NOAA and OSTP Nominees to Appear Before Senate Commerce Committee
|
|
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee Chairman John D. (Jay) Rockefeller IV (D-WV) will hold a nominations hearing on Thursday, February 12, 2009 for Dr. Jane Lubchenco, nominated to be Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere at the U.S. Department of Commerce - also known as the Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) – and Dr. John Holdren, nominated to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President.
The hearing will immediately following the Committee’s Executive Session scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and will be held in room 253 of the Russell Senate Office Building.
