The hearing will examine the impacts of climate change on marine ecosystems in the state of Washington. Witnesses will testify on the effects of climate change and ocean acidification on marine ecosystems in Puget Sound and coastal Washington, how these processes are changing ecosystem functions, and what impacts the changes are having on coastal communities and living marine resources.

The hearing will be held at the Seattle Aquarium, 1483 Alaskan Way, Seattle, Wash. Subcommittee Chair Senator Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) will preside.
