LITTLE ROCK--Boy Scouts of Troop 30 in Little Rock will receive a special civics lesson next week at their weekly meeting. Russian government officials visiting Arkansas as guests of Rotarians and Rotary Clubs will be answering questions about life and democracy in Russia.

Three Russian officials and their Russian interpreter are being hosted by Rotary as part of the Library of Congress Open World program to bring 3,000 Russian officials to the United States by September 30, 1999 to learn about life in the U.S., to visit federal, state and local governmental offices and to see how our free market economic system operates.

Rotary clubs and their Rotarians in the United States will host about a third of the Russian participants. The United Methodist Church nationally will host another third and the balance will be hosted by smaller groups.
