WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today announced a $6,900 grant to McCoy V., Inc. in Fort Scott for renewable energy.

The funds will be used to assist farmers, ranchers, and rural small businesses in developing renewable energy systems, and in making energy-efficiency improvements to their operations. This project will make energy efficiency improvements to the roof of a restaurant in Fort Scott.

The grant and loan were awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office under the Rural Energy for America Grant Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
