“Even when a student has the help of their family and guidance counselors, the process of selecting a college and figuring out how to pay for it can be daunting,” Reid said. “I hope [the college guide] helps make the process of applying for college as enjoyable as the college experience itself.”

Among the information included in the guide is:

  • A checklist of important tasks for middle and high school students;
  • High school graduation requirements;
  • Information on Nevada’s colleges and universities;
  • Information on other post-secondary options;
  • Resources for finding grants, loans and scholarships
