Abstract: Subcommittee Hearing was on "Government 2.0: Advancing America into the 21st Century and a Digital Future". The key points were: "Technology must be used to reform government and improve the exchange of information between the federal government and citizens. Government information and services are provided to citizens when...and where they need it". Information maintained by the Federal government should be made available to citizens. Information Technology should be used to encourage public participation through online town halls, etc.
