Abstract: In this update to the Implementation of the Federal IT Workforce Challenge Recommendations on March 21, 2001 recent accomplishments and continuing efforts to implement the original recommendations made in the CIO Council Education and Training Committee's report from 1999. Current best practices of committee agencies are also highlighted. The recommendations provide opportunities for innovative partnerships and collaborations among agencies and with private sector partners that are critical to leveraging the Federal Government's consumer position.
