Abstract: A statement to address the OMB Administration's views on e-government and to comment on pending legislation. Highlights include E-government - the President's Management Agenda and status of implementing the strategy with its barriers such as agency culture, lack of a federal architecture, trust, resources, and stakeholder resistance. Statement points to several actions in place to overcome these barriers in combination with e-government legislation to increase chances for success.
