Abstract: Addressing OMBs efforts in the area of computer security with attention to several important cross-cutting government initiatives at risk in the appropriations process but can still be implemented. Questions are raised around the legal framework, such as "Are current policies effective?", "How can we ensure effective policies?", and "How can we improve compliance?". Cross-cutting efforts and new legislation concludes the statement.
