Abstract:
A statement addressing efforts and OMB's role in the areas of computer security with attention to administration actions and an uncertain future in the appropriations process for many security funds requests. Questions are raised around the legal framework, such as "Are current policies effective?", "How can we ensure effective policies?", and "How can we improve compliance?". Cross-cutting efforts and new legislation concludes the statement.
