Abstract:
This testimony addresses the Administration's views on the electronic government initiative and comments on pending legislation, performance goals, creation of Federal CIO, proliferation of forums and reports. It highlights a citizen centric strategy, process simplification, bridging islands of automation, information architecture, and knowledge management. By integrating e-government as part of the management agenda, the promise of electronic government can be achieved.
