Abstract: This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is based upon the November 21, 2002 Memorandum of Understanding with John Ferrandino, President of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) to sponsor the Academies of Information Technology (AOIT) for high school students nationwide. In this MOU, in force for three years from the date of signing, The Federal Chief Information Officers (CIO) Council joins the Department of Commerce, and a distinguished list of Fortune 100 companies, small businesses, state and local governments, and three other Federal government partners in recognizing the opportunity this partnership provides to expose students to IT careers in the Federal government.. It is anticipated that each CIO will champion this partnership within their agency.
