Abstract:
Section 53, OMB Circular A-11, deals with information technology (IT) investment information requirements. The agency and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) review and evaluate an agency's spending, comparing it to IT spending across the Government. Among its objectives are: "to ensure initiatives create a citizen-centered electronic presence and advance E-Government strategy including specific outcomes to be achieved." Information is provided using the Agency IT Investment Portfolio reporting format (Exhibit 53).
