JACKIE PATILLO
DEPUTY CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Jackie Patillo is the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). She serves as a principal advisor to the Secretary on matters involving information resources and information services management, and provides leadership in using information technology to achieve the Department's goals and objectives.

Jackie began her role as the Deputy Chief Information Officer in October 2005, after serving in the role as Chief Information Officer at National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): one of the modals in DOT.

Prior to serving at NHTSA, Jackie was head of the infrastructure at the United States Mint, where she was responsible for information technology policy, telecommunications, help desk services, and data center services. She has spent all of her career in public service. In addition to Federal service, she served dual roles as the Chief Information Officer and Director of Data Systems Management for the State of Alabama. From 1987 to 1993, she was the CIO (DPM) in local government, the City of Anniston.

Mrs. Patillo received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Jacksonville State University in Computer Information Systems and received a Masters of Science in Public Administration from Auburn University. Mrs. Patillo is a Presidential Management Fellow.

She lives in Alexandria, Virginia. She has two children, James Patillo, III, and Amber R. Patillo.
