Purpose Of Request

This project will refurbish 55 year old taxiways with flexible pavement and replace the existing worn ramp area with new concrete for the hangar apron, aircraft parking, and access roads. The alteration will enhance peacetime maintenance support operations, decrease wear and tear upon aircraft, and enhance the overall effectiveness and readiness of assigned units. Current facilities and infrastructure have deteriorated to a point where day to day missions may be impacted by flight safety ground operations. The facility currently houses Company B, 1-108th Aviation of the Kansas Army National Guard. This project is in the current Fiscal Year Defense Plan for Fiscal Year 2011.
