Welcome to the Wyoming Department of Health
Our mission is to promote, protect, and enhance the health of all Wyoming citizens. The Wyoming Department of Health is the primary state agency for providing health and human services. We administer programs maintaining the health and safety of all citizens of Wyoming and our primary approach in solving health problems is prevention. 
 

Summer Fun - When warmer days come to Wyoming, most people spend more time outdoors. To help keep summer healthy and fun, the Wyoming Department of Health is offering advice on sun safety, safe swimming, preventing West Nile virus, and avoiding tickborne diseases.

Tax Refund for Elderly & Disabled - Many older and disabled Wyoming residents could use a little extra financial help. The Tax Refund for Elderly & Disabled Program provides an allowance to help cover sales and use taxes, property taxes, utility and energy costs that qualified residents paid last year. The application deadline is the end of August, and applications are available at local senior centers.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)- ARRA, the new federal economic stimulus law, includes new healthcare spending and reforms in health law and policy. The Wyoming Department of Health is working to help keep state residents informed about ARRA health-related effects and opportunities.
