"Growth of rare-earth niobate-based pyrochlores on textured Ni-W substrates with ionic radii dependency"

A book, entitled Second Generation HTS Conductors, and edited by ORNL's Amit Goyal, is the first and only published book on this important class of HTS conductors. The book summarizes the progress to date in the entire field, as well as future research directions. It makes for an excellent reference for people working in this research area. Several chapters were written by fellow ORNL staff members in the Superconductivity Program. For more information on this book, contact Amit Goyal, (865) 574-1587.

Parans Paranthaman, ORNL, co-edited this special issue in the area of "High-Performance YBCO-coated Superconductor Wires." This issue provides an overview of the current status of the R&D in the area of HTS wires in the world.
