The second annual Army Environmental Training symposium took place Feb. 29 through March 5 in Kansas City, Mo. Approximately 200 students from across the Army attended 42 classes in 92 sessions. The Directorate of Environmental Integration at the U.S. Army Engineer School led a team made up of the Installation Management Agency, the Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and the U.S. Army Environmental Center to implement the symposium. According to the symposium's TRADOC sponsors, the event will become larger and more streamlined as it matures. Students surveyed gave the training high marks and found the event valuable overall.
The 58 exhibitors included large international environmental service firms and small businesses.
