Chairman Fryzel Visits TECH Credit Union

July 14, 2009, Alexandria, Va. – National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chairman Michael E. Fryzel last week toured TECH Credit Union in Crown Point, Indiana.

“This credit union has demonstrated an impressive focus on aiding their membership during a very difficult economic time. I was pleased to have a first-hand look at the proactive, responsive member service programs put in place, and I firmly believe that the bright future ahead for the credit union industry is because of the member-first philosophy of credit unions such as TECH Credit Union,” noted Chairman Fryzel.

The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of nearly 90 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
