Effingham Herald (July 13, 2009)

In September, a Savannah Web site will be launched by Social Work graduates at the University of Georgia that is dedicated to helping clinicians find drug treatment centers for those struggling with addiction in the Savannah area.

The site will be www.recoverysavannah.org. Other social work graduate students have already launched two similar Web sites, one for Athens and one for Atlanta.

The first Web site, RecoveryAthens.org, was launched in September 2007 in conjunction with National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.
Recovery Atlanta is the second Web site developed by graduate students at the University of the Georgia School of Social Work to promote recovery from substance abuse in Georgia.

Future Web sites are planned for other communities in Georgia. Each will be launched in September of each year in recognition of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.
