The Oral Health Risk Assessment Training for Pediatricians and Other Health Professionals: The purpose of this on-line training is to provide a concise overview of how to perform an oral examination and conduct an oral health risk assessment and triage for infants and young children. Free CME credit is available for those completing the on-line training.

Indian Health Service (IHS)
IHS is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. Find jobs and scholarships, medical professional programs, nationwide programs and initiatives, and more.

Senate Committee on Indian Affairs
Read past hearings, access national roundtable discussions, and keep up to date on Indian legislation and briefings.

National Library of Medicine
The National Library of Medicine has a Web site, "American Indian Health", which is an information portal for and about the health of Native peoples in the United States.

Code Talk
Hosted by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Native American Programs, Code Talk is a federal inter-agency Native American Web site designed specifically to deliver electronic information from government agencies and other organizations to Native American communities.

National Indian Health Board (NIHB)
Find general information on topics such as substance abuse, mental health, and tobacco, as well as Washington activity, legislative alerts, tribal health services updates, and more.

National Congress of American Indians (NCAI)
NCAI is the oldest, largest, and most representative national Indian organization. Find a wealth of information about Indian issues and access the national calendar and a tribal directory.

Center for American Indian Health
The Center for American Indian and Alaskan Native Health at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health offers training opportunities, projects in Native American Health, and links regarding American Indian health and culture.

The National Center for American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research (NCAIANMHR)
Find out about mental health research projects focused on American Indians and Alaskan Natives from the University of Colorado.

National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA)
The National Indian Child Welfare Association is the most comprehensive source of information on American Indian child welfare. The website provides policy, research, resources, and training information.

Native American Children's Alliance (NACA)
Native American Children's Alliance has been working since 1999 to provide support, mentoring and technical assistance to multi-disciplinary teams and child advocacy centers serving Native American and Alaskan Native communities.
NACA's mission is to promote excellence in child abuse prevention and intervention in Native American and Alaska Native communities through training, mentoring and information.

Native Health Research Database
Developed by the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center with funds made available by a contract with the Indian Health Service, the Native Health Research Database (NHRD) provides access to bibliographic information pertaining to health and medical issues of the American Indian and Alaska Native and Canadian First Nations populations.

Professional Associations:

Association of American Indian Physicians (AAIP)
The AAIP seeks to increase the number of Indian physicians through a forum for the promotion of Indian health issues.

Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS)
The CPS Web site is designed to provide health care professionals with information to make informed decisions about child health, including Canadian Native and Inuit children.

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
Find a wealth of information about women's health issues, including resources related to Native American and Alaskan Native Women's health.
