World Services of La Crosse, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 organization founded in 2001, located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It is the outgrowth of the former La Crosse International Health Partnership program established in 1992 to plan and facilitate international exchanges, volunteer consultation and program implementation for management, leadership and professional development in areas of health, human services and environmental programs in the former Soviet Union. The World Services Board of Directors consists of nine area volunteers experienced locally and internationally. World Services has successfully implemented projects in Russia, China, Ukraine, and the Republic of Georgia with funding support by the American International Health Alliance, the Foundation for Russian American Economic Cooperation, the U.S. Agency for International Development, IREX, the U.S. Department of Commerce, World Learning, the Open World Program, and other sources. Since 2002, World Services staff and volunteers have hosted over 600 Open World participants from Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in 10 states. (La Crosse, WI)
