The students could ask questions about the photos & the seniors' lives. I'd bet many of the seniors will have had parents or grandparents who were immigrants & they could share those stories too. 2. Mid-April is National Volunteer Week. Check w/your local Volunteer Center or United Way. There are usually numerous activitiesthat week that need volunteers. You can probably connect your students - individually or in groups - w/some great community needs. Good luck. Your idea seems like a great way to meet "achievement" goals & meet students' needs.
