U.S. Supreme Court Decision Favorable to NDAA Position
In late January, NDAA filed an amicus brief in Rivera v. Illinois. On March 31, 2009, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a decision that was favorable to NDAA’s position in its amicus brief.

In February the National Academy of Sciences published its report "Strengthening Forensic Science in the United States: A Path Forward." Money for the "John R. Justice Prosecutors and Defenders Incentive Act" was not part of the recently signed stimulus bill. If appropriated, it would be in the president's 09/10 budget proposal.
