  1. Question

Would there be life on the Earth if there was no moon? Why?

There probably would be life on Earth even if there were no Moon -- why not? In their book "Rare Earth" Peter Ward and Don Browlee discuss how the stabilizing effect of the Moon on the Earth's axial tilt might have contributed to the development of advanced life (metazoans) on Earth, but no one knows how important this might have been. In any case, it seems unlikely that the Moon played any significant role in the beginnings of life on our planet.
