Yes... 
We developed a video/dvd  in the 1990s called: In Plain Language. This material is now a bit out of date [drew on findings from the NALS - the NAAL had not yet happened] but still of interest for professional discussion.
We let Bill and others use scenes from this video [especially testimony from adult learners] for the IOM video/dvd.
