Hi Everyone,

This is a copy of the last message...

PLEASE NOTE:

If you are in the Adult Education field, reply to the previous message
with the subject line: Wed Question: HL Trainings -- Adult Lit!

If you are in a Health field, reply to this message!

That way, we can find the answers we are each looking for more easily.
(If you are in a different field, you can choose one)

As the subject of Health Literacy trainings of various kinds is coming
back to the surface, I'd like to explore what we feel is needed in this
regard. It was nice to get a sense from Rima of who enrolls in a
graduate program in health literacy. And Sabrina reminded us of Andrew's
list of other trainings that are available.

I would like to hear (as always) from both those in Adult Literacy, and
those in health fields about what kind of professional development you
would find helpful for your staff in order to better address health
literacy in your setting.

So think about these questions and let us know what you would like to
see out there:

1. What specific health literacy topics should be addressed?
2. What skills do your staff need to learn?
3. What method is best: online, workshop, other?
4. How much time can your staff devote to professional development
activities?

I hope that your feedback can help us as a field to fill the gaps in
health literacy professional development!

Thanks,
Julie
