Pretty open minded about this as we weren't officially looking to offer
anything like this.

The project management software <http://www.smoothprojects.com/>  idea just
came to mind when I stumbled upon the topic.

Of course we'll want to make sure that if it's awarded that the recipient
has the means and determination to make an impact and I have no idea if it's
a fit.

 

Very interested to hear from anyone that has a great idea of how to use a
system like Smooth Projects.

I've been reading the "Distance Learning" thread. Great Stuff!

While the use of the web for the different teaching media is excellent, what
seems to be lacking is a method of organized delivery, categorization,
process flow and accountability. Thinking outside the box, the first thought
that comes to mind is a solution used in business regularly, project
management software. 

 

Web based project management systems allow for a permissions based user
system, I.e. The administrator can set up a user or group and control what
materials they look at. They have a file repository for the different file
types etc that might be used to teach I.e. video, wav (audio files), text
etc. It also provides a method for the user to indicate what they have
completed.

 

We would be very interested in working with the right person or entity in
creating a case study in this area. 

We would be able to pay for the project management software
