Try www.lluk.org.uk. Type 'ESOL' in the search box and on the page that
comes up, click on app_prof_standards_literacy_esol. There has been a
lot of work in England on standardising teacher training accross the
country.

best wishes,

Subject: [EnglishLanguage 2205] Teacher standards

Do any of you know of published teacher standards or knowledge
requirements for prospective teachers of ESL and Bilingual Ed,
especially knowledge of the English language?

Thanks!
